The Tenth Marble
Nine black marbles are discovered with a corpse. The tenth appears where no object should have survived. As the investigation deepens, the spheres begin turning people into carriers for something without a body.
The entity starts with small thefts—movement, timing, control—and works towards a larger architecture. Every escalation asks the same question: if something can use a body perfectly, what remains of the person inside it?
Embodiment, evidence, possession, unresolved death and intelligence without empathy.
